Dr. Wiley Purcell
Dr. Wiley Purcell, a Georgia native, attended the University of Georgia where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a Bachelor of Science in Science Education. Following in his family’s footsteps, he became a third generation teacher. After enjoying eight years as a public school educator, Dr. Purcell followed his life-long dream of becoming a dentist. He attended the Dental College of Georgia and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D) in 2016.
Furthering his education, Dr. Purcell attended a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Before entering into his two years of specialty training for Endodontics, he practiced as a general dentist at Christ Community Health in Augusta, GA. During his Endodontic residency, Dr. Purcell was able to complete research that lead to being published in a peer review journal as well as presenting his research for the American Association of Endodontist Annual Meeting. Dr. Purcell is a proud member of the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, as well as the Georgia Dental Association.
Outside of treating patients, Dr. Purcell enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife Jenny, and their four amazing children. His hobbies include fishing, camping, and any other activity that lets him spend more time with his family.
